      At this time, the IRS no longer has plans to request that all business entities issue Form 1099 to each vendor, and report all such forms to the IRS.
       


      CAT Position

      The shareholders of CAT are strong Libertarians, and do not believe the government has any business in obtaining a record of each and every company's suppliers, contractors, and customers.  We consider this to all be proprietary information -- our database of clients is a valuable company asset that we hold quite closely.
       


      Positions of Vendors and Clients

      We understand that some clients and vendors have developed internal policies of collecting all this information.  Their policies must be considered in light of our policy.  There is no legal obligation to acquire and maintain such information.
       


      Summary

      CAT does not supply Tax ID Numbers to any entities not required by law to obtain them.
